About iGEN Education

Welcome to iGen Education Group. We are based in Vancouver B.C.

Our innovative outdoor learning experiences enhance 21st century learning and engage children in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM). Our programs are designed to support the diverse learning needs of children ages 3-14. We inspire each child to be curious about the outdoor environment and achieve a passion for life-long learning.

Advanced Skills

Students learn to develop their skills in STEAM and achieve advanced levels of comprehension which positions them for future success in their lives and careers. In our rapidly changing, fast-paced, and globalized world, our children need to be able to adapt and innovate, and STEAM education prepares them for this.

Interdisciplinary Literacy

Students gain literacy skills in the realms of science, mathematics, arts, engineering, and technology. This focus on interdisciplinary literacy results in students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process.

Applied Learning

Using 21st-century skills development, our programs focus on applied learning using the outdoors as our classroom. Students engage with course materials through outdoor education, project-based learning, experimentation, collaboration, and exploration to pursue knowledge and understanding of complex processes and topics.

Our Impact

“My daughter has done summer camp programs with iGen and she loves it so much. She makes new friends, and always comes home to tell me about what she learned. Her teachers in her school have said she is more confident to speak in classes and talk about subjects like science and math”

— iGen Parent

“We sent our son to iGen to improve his understanding of science, and over the first six-week program he was able to take what he learns in books and apply it to the outdoor environment. This type of learning keeps him engaged and interested, and he has gone from disliking school to loving it because he found a passion for science”

“Our daughter came to iGen as a very quiet and shy child, and in the first day, she made three new friends - she said they built a rocket ship together and wanted to be best friends after that. Those social and educational teamwork connections are so important.”
